Mission Statement

To protect the rights of civil service employees by ensuring that City employees in the classified service are hired, promoted, and retained based upon merit, efficiency, and character.

To maintain the integrity of the Civil Service System by serving as an independent and impartial ruling body charged with conducting disciplinary appeal hearings.

To rule on matters relating to unfair labor practices, discrimination complaints, examination appeals, and employee representation issues.

We are the "Watchdog" for the fair and consistent application of Civil Service Rules for the City of McComb and the Mississippi Statues set forth in MS Code of 1972, Chapter 031, and Title 21 for the benefit of City of McComb Civil Service employees.
